In previous 30 years in a professional triathlon I was racing on wheels of the most famous cycling brands. When I discovered Equator I found out that in a comparison with other, more expensive wheels, Equator are not riding slower and are not heavier.
The rim is made of high quality Japanese Toray T700 and T800 fibres. Prepreg is made by us in our factory. The whole process is completely under our control.
The epoxy used for the rim body is enriched with carbon nanofibers (CNT). This results in up to 30% higher strength and chip resistance. At the same time, we can use less epoxy and thus produce lighter wheels.
DT Swiss 240 EXP centres combined with AeroLite spokes and ultra-light rims offer the lowest possible weight without compromising on durability and handling. It is a highly tuned system.
DT Swiss AeroLite spokes together with external DT Swiss Squorx pro-lock aluminium nipples allow the wheels to be centred without the need to remove the tyre.
