Equator Yasei

Yasei (野生) means "wild" in Japanese. Whether it's the characteristics of the rider or the terrain they're traversing, Yasei is an adventurous gravel bike suitable for paved and unpaved roads and longer trips.

Detaily

Steel's real, titanium's eternal deal

Our frames are made of 3Al-2.5V seamless tubes in aerospace quality.
Titanium is more comfortable than steel due to its vibration absorption, but unlike steel it is lighter and will not rust. It boasts the strength of carbon, but unlike carbon, it can withstand rough handling. So we've made a frame that will last a lifetime. A frame you can adapt to the conditions and terrain of the moment.

Variable geometry

Everyone has different requirements for the way a bike behaves, and we understand that. Our frames are optionally equipped with Cane Creek Angleset headsets. This allows you to change the fork angle in either direction by 0.5°, 1° or 1.5° depending on whether you want a more aggressive and agile geometry or a slacker and safer one.

Adventure fork with adjustable rake

The Yasei is equipped with a carbon fork that can handle a lot. You can choose between 47 or 52 millimeters of rake, allowing for additional adjustments to the bike's geometry and behavior. There are 3 mounting points on the fork legs for attaching bottles or panniers for larger trips, with a load capacity of up to 3 kg on each side.

Wheels up to 29" x 2.2 for and up to 46T chainrings

Wheels up to 28" or 29" diameter and up to 57mm (2.2") wide can be fitted to the frame thanks to the machined chainstay yoke. This gives you plenty of flexibility on and off road. All you have to do is choose the right tyres.
The maximum single chainring size is 46T (42 - 44T in the case of an oval).

Internal cable routing

Wiring installation is easy thanks to removable inserts. You can also fill unused frame entrances to prevent dirt from getting in.
The frame is ready for a fully mechanical kit including 2x systems and internally wired dropper post.

Plenty of mounting points

We won't limit where or how many baskets you can mount. In addition to the usual inner triangle, you'll find mounting points on the bottom of the lower frame, on top of the upper frame. Of course, there's also preparation for mudguards or racks.
NOTE: We've removed seatstay mounts from the final frame due to clearance issues. Sorry if you started to like them - these won't work with current geometry.

Ovalized toptube

Looks great and makes the ride more comfortable adding a bit of vertical compliance. The bike is also more comfortable to carry in the hand or on the shoulder. And top frame panniers don't twist as much - thanks in part to a pair of bolts that allow for strapless installation.

Dropper post ready

Dropper is not just the domain of mountain bikes. You'll appreciate the ability to lower the saddle in the terrain even more on a taller gravel frame. Our frames are ready for 31.6 mm seatposts, so you have plenty of freedom of choice. Thanks to the fully internal routing, the control cable never leaves the frame.

Flat mount or post mount?

The frame is ready for flat mount calipers, which are visually cleaner and more common on gravel kits. If for some reason you would like to mount post mount calipers, this can be done by installing an adapter. Both options are open to you.
NOTE: Final version of the frame has the derailleur exit around the axle, so there's no insert on the right chainstay. Neat!

T47 Bottom Bracket

47 is the emerging standard of the bottom bracket originally designed by Chris King. It is a classic threaded system, so there is no need to worry about unwanted sounds like with many pressfit systems. The larger diameter makes the whole system more durable, more reliable, and results in a stronger frame tube joint.

SRAM UDH and chain hanger

The UDH (Universal Derailleur Hanger) is SRAM's global standard. Therefore you can get it in any shop because it's not brand specific. It's simple to change and will rotate instead of bending in the event of a chain jam.
This also makes the frame ready for the new SRAM T-Type derailleurs.

For convenient service work, the right seatstay is fitted with a chain hanger. You're welcome.
